Adjusting

Joe said it, it's been an emotional 24, 48 hours... We are having a boy. I don't think I really entertained the idea, I was just having a girl, that was that. Suprise to me ! I shouldn't be, we really only had one name both Joe and I were drawn to for a boy (being Jackson) but had a few names for girls. It's taken me the better part of 24 hours to process everything, but I still see Joe's face hearing "it's a boy" and him barley choking out "there's my Jack".
Mel, Thank you for AppleJack, it's perfect. I couldn't be any more excited to be having a boy. A son for Joe.

It's a Boy!

Well alot has happened since my last post. Today we were suppose to go for the Amniocentesis procedure, but yesterday Karen got a call from a Specialist in Toronto saying that we didn't need to go that way and there was so many other ways we could go. So we went and saw her today for 2 hours and she was amazing, and we went for an ultrasound and we saw our baby boy(We are really leaning towards Jackson(Jack)). Included is the new ultrasound pics. What an emotional day for Karen and I but I wouldn't have traded it for anything:)...by the way Thanks to Mel for the new nickname, we will be calling the baby Apple Jack from now on:)Appleseed sounds to much like a girls nickname

Amniocentesis

Hey everyone, just got thinking that not everybody might know what a "Amniocentesis" procedure is. Here is a link to an article about it.

I think Karen is more nervous about the ultra sound than the actual procedure, and i'm more worried about the procedure. I know everthing will be O.K. but still, it's still in the back of my mind.

Re. Future

After spending the night out with the kids, being Tay and Logan, Its hard to immagine what our future will be like, except that it will be full of laughter, screaming, reading and hugs and kisses. I can't wait, it will be wonderful.
The most touching moment for me was when Logan put his hands on my belly, and asked when the baby will move if he can feel it. Soon enough I said, soon enough. It doesn't get any better than this.

Thinking about the future

Well, every once and a while I've been thinking about how much our lives will change when Apple Seed arrives(He's(She)) is still resting comfortably inside M2B). Right now if we just want to spend the night watching mindless T.V. we can, but once the baby arrives I guess will have to manage our time more wisely(I'm starting to sound old). But I would rather give up all of T.V.(Yes this is really me writing this) just to spend some time with my baby:)

Name update

Well, we have had a few comments regarding our choice for names so far, as for the girls names, Lola isn't faring to well, and poor old Oscar, he will either be confused with a "Grouch" or a "Weiner". We feel that once we find out the sex of the baby at least that cuts our choices in half.

Monday the 26th...Well I think we have found another contender for a girls name, Ella, It's pretty cool and both K and I like it. I have been trying for "Vadar" as a middle name but I don't think it's gonna work:(

Possible names

So here is the list of some of the possible names that K and I have been kickin' around:

Boys Names-Jackson(Jack), Oscar, Elijah, Zack, Brandon, Jasper, ?

Girls Names-Lola, Georgia, Ruby, Stella, ?

If anyone has any name ideas feel free to contact us and let us know(I'll probably veto them right away but we could use a few more idea's), or if you have a vote for one of the above.

Who is Appleseed?

Just to clear up any questions why this blog is called Appleseed, when Karen and I found out that she(M2B) was pregnant we realized that the baby was the size of a apple seed so we just started calling the baby Appleseed(Sound nicer then fetus), so that's were Appleseed came from. We have joked around about caaling the baby Apple if it was a girl but Chris Martin and Gweneth Paltrow already got the jump on that name(I can just see the look of relief on the grandmothers faces)

No new news

Well, M2B went to T.O. on Thursday for her big test, and all it was was the same tests and questions from her doc in Orillia, but at least she got to hear Apple seed's heart beat again(155 BPM) the nurse said that is perfect(Expect anything less from my son(Oh sorry daughter). M2B heads back down to the big smoke on the 29th of this month to see what we are having, can't wait:)

My wife is the greatest

I love my wife(Mom2B) with all my heart. She is strong and amazing! I can't wait to see her with our baby appleseed.

response from Mom2b

My wonderful, fabulous husband just wrote that to make me feel better because on the way home I ate the donught I got for him, and got a treat to share, Rolos, completly forgetting that he doesn't like caramilk...
We didn't find out the sex of apple seed today, I did however get to hear the hearbeat, a perfect 155 beats per min. I don't think I've ever heard a more amazing sound, theres no words to describe it.
I wouldn't get through anything without Joe, he is my better half

My First Post

Well, here I sit at home while Karen has went to the city(T.O.) for the evening because tommorow she has an appointment with a pregnancy specialist. I wish I could be there with her tommorow but I have to work and right now my full-time job is more important than ever. It's 7:30 P.M. so she should be arriving at her parents home in about 30 minutes. We might know the sex of the baby tommorow but we were both not 100% sure of what the appointment was for. I'm gonna make my lunch and watch "Rescue Me" that I taped last night.
