Baby Doll

Well if P2B didn't suprise me again tonight. Turns out there was one forgotton present, which was a beautiful newborn baby doll, blue ribbon of corse.
Needed ultimetly for our breastfeeding class, but the 2 of us sure fell into sucky mode quick. Funny how you can know it's Just a doll, but hold it so gently as if it were real, and look at it as if we're practicing for how we're going to be looking at Jack. I can't even begin to immagine how I'm going to feel looking into the eyes of my baby... I don't think it's possible to prepare for that moment...

The home stretch

Well were down to the home stretch:), less than 3 months from now we'll have a bouncing baby boy. I think K and I are starting to realize how close it is, by saying it's less than 12 weeks just puts it all into perspective. Baby Jack is moving around everyday now, I think he has his times of the day when he sleeps and when he wakes up, if he's anything like his dad he'll be a nightowl and be up all night. When january comes i'm gonna start on the room and get it cleaned out and painted. For Christmas Jack got a number of neat things from his grandma Townes and his uncle Tom and Aunt Tara and his Uncle Paul and Aunt Nadia. For Christmas Jack and Karen(M2B) got a special gift from Daddy to hang on his wall(No it wasn't a Star Wars poster).

WoW! The Shirt Moved!

We had a really exciting night tonight:) Karen(M2B) and I were putting up our X-Mas tree tonight(Yes I know finally) and M2B was sitting in the movie chairs and she just yelled and started laughing, I said what's up and she said she saw her t-shirt move, so I sat down in front of her and low and behold the t-shirt moved again:) it was pretty amazing. Today we are exactly 3 months from our due date, but I don't think we'll have to wait that long.

Our little Picasso

Today Karen(M2B) and baby Jack went for the 6th ultrasound. He was being a little sleepy head today, but the technician says that he looks great and his heart beat is right on and all his organs look perfect, and as she pointed out to Karen "He sure is a Boy!" so dad sure is proud:)
The first thing Karen said to me when I looked at the ultrasound pics was that he looks like a Picasso painting, so I (Karen also) nicknamed him My little Picasso. This kid is gonna have more names and nicknames then his gonna know what to do with. The way he is inside Karen is his head is at the bottom of her belly.

Finally!

Well this morning M2B and I were lying in bed just waking up and I had my hand on her tummy talking to Jack and I felt him! It was just like a little bubble or something. It was amazing because we have seen the baby in the ultra sounds pics and I know he's there but to actually feel him was overwelming.
By the way, Karen(M2B) has another ultrasound appointment tommorow, so I'll get some pics posted tommorow night.

M2B & Baby are doing Great!

Another check up today, and am thrilled to say everything looks, sounds and measures perfecly.
I got to hear Jacks heart beating away, and how can you describe the most wonderful sound in the world. I think it will only be topped by the ultrasound experience and then when Jack is born, hearing him cry.
My bloodpreasure, heart rate and weight are going along fine, and Dr. Will says I look great, definitly very pregnant.
I owe all the thanks in the world to Joe, for taking such good care of me on good days and bad, and really bad days, and goofy neurotic days...

Our boy is gonna Rock!

I think mabey most of you know already that we have chosen a full name for the baby when he is born, it's gonna be: Jackson Chester David Cornelisse, Jackson, because we like it, Chester because that was my Grandpa Townes middle name, David because that is Karen's Dad's name, and Cornelisse because that's our last name:)
Grandpa W pointed out that his initials sound like a Rock band from the 70's, so I had a friend of mine make up a banner.

3 month 2 weeks and 3 days to go!

Well as of today we have 3 months, 2 weeks and 3 days to go until we are introduced to our son. I think as each day passes I'm getting more and more excited about the birth and i'm also more and more scared about baby Jack being born. I think i'm more scared about how we are going to deal with all of life's "Little" problems that kids deal with everyday. I know when they are little a parent can shelter them from all of the "Bad" things , but when they get older it gets harder and harder to do. I think we have learned alot about parenting from friends and family who have children, we will take a little bit of knowledge from each of them to raise our Jack the best way we can. M2B is starting to feel Jack alot more in her tummy, I can't wait till I can feel him also.
